Most broadly, my research concerns core topics in Christian dogmatics with particular interest in developments and trajectories within modern Protestant theology. In this regard I am concerned with the legacies of key thinkers such as Søren Kierkegaard, Karl Barth and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. I am also crucially interested in the role of Scripture in contemporary theology, in particular in how new readings of Paul might reshape Christian doctrine. To this end, I have been involved in the lively conversation about ‘Pauline apocalyptic’ and its significance for Christian theology and ethics.
